The little month - a new commission for Kilter
The egg, Theatre Royal Bath, has commissioned Kilter to produce The Little Month - a theatrical treasure trail around Bath - as part of it's Family Festival of Theatre in February 2009. Designed for children, the show will celebrate the month of February through traditions, Bath heritage and a large dose of Kilter theatrical magic! There will be something to do on every day of the little month - whether it be a challenge, task, puzzle or play, Kilter aims to warm up the chilly winter days of February with some imaginative adventuring.
Booking information and more details will follow shortly.
Roots - the latest show from Kilter
We are currently devising our latest site specific work. Called Roots, it will be based at the Bath Organic Group Allotments, Victoria Park, Bath.
The time is ripe for digging. As cheap imported fruit and veg rapidly become a thing of the past, Kilter invites you to grab a spade and elope to the allotment for a theatrical contemplation of the future of food. Through an intimate intertwining tale of love and vegetables, Kilter leads you and your neighbours on a gently-treading journey down the bean-rows to discover food-security in the approaching post-oil world. Up-turn a pot and take the weight off your feet to learn some practical growing tips from Kilter's distinctive characters. Admire the trademark designs hewn from recycled materials. Get some dirt under your fingernails and experience "theatre of the unforgettable"! Dig for victory! Will you play your part? Please bring biscuits to share!
Kilter's Debut - take 2!
We were thrilled to find out that Theatre Bath's Debut Project have decided to support Kilter's work for another year (2008). Debut is a project funded by the Arts Council that is designed to support new and emerging theatre companies in the Bath and North East Somerset area. We will be working with the steering group over the next few weeks to draw up a development plan for the year. Watch this space!
